It’s Release Day!!

Today is a big day for me. Like REALLY big.

Just under a year ago, on August 16, 2018, I signed a three-book deal with Tule Publishing. Today is the day it comes to fruition.

Today, I am a published author.

As you read this, my book is sitting on various phones and tablets just waiting to be (or possibly already being) devoured by curious readers ready to decide if any future books of mine will be worth reading. This should probably make me nervous–in fact, for the last couple weeks that’s exactly what thoughts of this day have made me. But now that it’s finally, actually here, all I feel is excitement.

Grinning like a fool, dancing around the living room, belting CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES at the top of my lungs excitement. Because that means people are reading my book. After years of this story and these characters existing only in my head, they are finally set free and running rampant for the rest of the world to see. And if you know anything about my main characters Logan and Cole, that’s exactly the word to describe it.

Can I tell you a secret?

I have been stalking my own book on Goodreads and NetGalley. Okay, so I’m probably not the only author to do that, especially first-time authors. And yes, I love reading the reviews and seeing what people think. (Side note: I knew how important reviews were for sales, but I seriously underestimated what they do for the author’s self-esteem. I cannot say thank you enough to the people who have taken the time to write reviews so far.)

But even more than that, I love just seeing that my characters are being read, that they’re out there making people laugh and cry and feel everything they are going through. They have become real, and people are talking about them the same way I have for the last three years since Logan and Cole first popped into my head.

For any who don’t already know, this day is a real-life dream come true for me. And I’m so glad I got to share it with everyone who has helped and supported me through this time, including you reading this post right now. You guys rock, and I can’t wait to share more stories and characters with you!
